What exactly is the Dev Atrophy Test?

Why can't I use AI or Google during the test?
Cos that defeats the entire purpose! This quiz will test YOUR knowledge, not ChatGPT's (and let's face it, that' often wrong). If you feel a sensation at any point that you'd like to ask AI for help, you've proven our point about AI reliance and possibly atrophy. This is about raw skills, not your ability to spit prompts.
How is the test scored?
We use a brutal yet fair scoring system. Your percentage determines your rank: 90%+ = Giga Dev (S-Tier), 70-89% = Code Guru (A-Tier), 50-69% = Struggling Simp (B-Tier), Below 50% = Certified Brainlet (F-Tier). No participation trophies here.
What's the difference between difficulty levels?
Noobie covers basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals. Le Chad mixes intermediate concepts with some advanced challenges. Hardcore AKA Hurt Me Plenty is pure suffering - advanced JavaScript, complex algorithms, and concepts that separate true devs from the herd.
How long does the test take?
Most folks clock in around 5-10 minutes, but there's no time limit. We track your time though, and if you're taking 30 minutes to answer basic questions, again that's... telling. The average 'Based' developer completes it in about 6 minutes.
Can I retake the test?
Yes. In fact, we encourage it. Failed miserably the first time? Good - that's the wake-up call you needed. Study up, practice without AI, and come back when you're ready to prove you've actually learned something.
Is this test actually accurate?
Our questions are based on fundamental concepts every developer should have engrained in their dome. If you can't answer them without AI, then yes, you got a dependency problem. We've had thousands of developers take this test, and the results consistently correlate with real-world coding ability.
Why are the questions so basic/hard?
